Our History
For more than 30 years, Gil Burgos Ministries was an independent Christian organization, based out of The Bronx, New York. The ministry was led by Gil Burgos, who is most prominently known as a retired pastor, but recently turned Messianic Jewish rabbi. Although the ministry name is still known on a global scale, it is now in transition: Anaf Tivi Ministries.
Anaf Tivi Ministries is also New York based. It is a Jewish outreach ministry, run by Rabbi Gil Burgos.
This ministry acts as an inter-faith bridge connecting Christians and Jews. Key components of his work include:
- Media & Programs: He hosts The Prophetic Encounter internet radio stream, publishes the Grafted in Messiah podcast, and runs an active YouTube channel that is dedicated to sharing Messianic Judaic teachings.
- Community Work: His ministry coordinates global missions, and small cell prayer groups across the Tri-State area.

The Latest
Our new ministry aims to build interfaith and cross-denominational understanding to the world of religion, with a focus on both Christian and Jewish traditions.
The ministry also organizes local community elements, including small cell groups that meet across different locations in New York City for prayer visuals.
What is Anaf Tivi?
Meaning: In Hebrew, "Anaf" (עָנָף) means "branch," or bough. When coupled with Biblical contexts or specific ministry groups (sometimes associated with Hebrew Israelite or Messianic communities), it is used symbolically to refer to a branch of a vine, tree, or spiritual lineage. And the word טִבְעִי (transliterated as Tiv'i or Tivi), is the Hebrew word for "natural," as used in Romans 11:11-24.
Focus: Not like Jews 4 Jesus, the organization shares Torah study, biblical teachings, the Talmud, and Jewish traditions, that bridge connections across various Jewish communities.
Platforms: You can find our content, audio and video clips, and updates across Instagram, TikTok, and the Official Website.
Media: We feature regular video content and podcasts broadcasted, via platforms like Podbean, Podomatic, and Prophetic Encounter Radio.
